Macey Doe: Program Director

Macey began dancing at the age of 5 at Miss Debbie's Dance. She then studied until college at Sandy Stramonine School of Dance where she learned Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Pointe.

In 2011, she received an associate's degree in music through Finger Lakes Community College with a major in voice. She graduated through the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Erie Community College in 2014.

Macey began volunteering at Moving Miracles in 2013. She was brought on as an instructor in 2016 and later as the Program Manager in 2019. She was promoted to the Director role in June of 2023 and is excited to continue the important and meaningful mission of Moving Miracles. Macey also works part time as a Certified Occupational Assistant in a school-based setting.

 

Elise Gill: Dance Instructor

Elise began volunteering at Moving Miracles in 2007 and became a teacher in 2013. She began dancing at the age of 6 at Paulette’s School of Dance and later joined Barb Denny’s. She has taken jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and modern throughout her dancing career. As an adult, Elise still enjoys taking various classes in the community.

Elise graduated in 2008 from Canisius College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Spanish. While at Canisius, she performed with the school’s dance team, the Dance Griffs. She then received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from D’Youville College in 2012. She currently works as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedics.

Elise is passionate about teaching at Moving Miracles and working with these amazing students. She has taught a wide range of classes throughout the years. She has worked with many different dancers ranging from the toddlers to the adults, non-ambulatory to company. She is particularly fond of the non-ambulatory classes where she can really get creative!

 

Jennifer Yuen: Dance Instructor

Jennifer began her time at Moving Miracles in the fall of 2012 as an intern while attending D'Youville College. She joined the Moving Miracles teaching staff in the summer of 2013 after graduating from D'Youville with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She decided to go back to school, and in 2019, graduated from Niagara University with her master’s degree in Developmental Disabilities. She currently works at Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center at their Lockport preschool location as a long-term substitute teacher. She is working on obtaining her Special Education Birth-2 teaching certification. 

Jennifer began dancing in 1994 at The Dancing Pointe. Through the many years she has been dancing she has taken tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical/modern, hip hop, and acrobatics. Her favorite styles of dance are acrobatics, lyrical/modern, and hip hop. Jennifer has a passion for all forms of art (visual, performing, literary) and believes they are a powerful outlet for creativity and self-expression. Her favorite thing about working at Moving Miracles is being able to spread a love and appreciation of dance to everyone. She loves seeing her students shine and express themselves through their own unique movement and artistry.

 

 

Lindsay Caulfield: Dance Instructor

Lindsay began at Moving Miracles in January 2010. Her love of dance started in 1990 under the direction of Ms. Pat LaBelle at the South Buffalo Dance Depot, where she studied tap and jazz (and even a little ballet and hip hop).

Lindsay graduated from the University at Buffalo with a bachelor's degree in health and human services, with a concentration in community mental health. She then continued her studies at the University at Buffalo, earning her master's degree in social work.

Lindsay is passionate about working with people who have disabilities and has worked in various settings across the field such as in schools, nursing homes, and Early Intervention. She has worked as a social worker (LMSW) at the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) since 2016 and has worked on the Residential Housing Team and currently on the Crisis Team.

 

 

Alyssa Kish: Dance Instructor

Alyssa started at Moving Miracles as a volunteer in 2017,she immediately fell in love with the studio, and became a teacher in 2020. She began dancing at the age of 2 and has studied tap, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, and pointe. She also danced competitively for many years winning various awards including first place in a pointe solo dedicated to her grandmother who suffers from Dementia.

Alyssa graduated from University at Buffalo in 2021 with a bachelor's Degree in Health and Human Services with a concentration in Childhood Development. She currently works as a respite care provider.  Alyssa has had a passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities since she was a little girl. She loves being able to spread her love of dance and inspiring dancers at Moving Miracles.

 

 

Maggie Kennedy: Dance Instructor

Maggie began volunteering at Moving Miracles in December 2016 and became a teacher in 2020. Her love of dance started in 2001 under the direction of Mrs. Eleanor Gilson at South Buffalo Dance Academy , where she studied tap, jazz, ballet, modern and hip hop. 

Maggie graduated from Hilbert College with a bachelor's degree in  human services. Her favorite thing about working at the studio is watching the students confidence grow throughout the season and at the recital, where all of their hard work had paid off. 

 

 

 

 

Andrea Billittier: Dance Instructor

Andrea began dancing at the age of 5 at Miss Eugenia’s School of Dance, later joining Walh Performing Arts Studio studying all types of dance. She graduated with degrees in psychology and dance from The University of Central Florida, as well as master degrees in developmental disabilities and child life from Nova Southeastern University. Andrea joined Moving Miracles as a volunteer in 2016, then became a teacher in 2018. She currently works full time at Roswell Park Cancer Center as a pediatric research coordinator.
